Auto Mode
Programming the heat pump to AUTO mode seems like a more efficient setting. However, using this mode runs the risk of switching unnecessarily between heating and cooling. Instead of using the AUTO mode, set it to “HEAT” in winter and “COOL” in summer.
Temperature Setting
A heat pump estimates room temperature differently than traditional heating systems. Set your heat pump to a comfortable temperature, then, make adjustments over the course of a few days until you reach your ideal setting.
Fan Setting
While higher fan speeds create louder noises, but a heat pump is most efficient when it’s set to a high fan speed. Set it on the highest fan speed you’re comfortable with, then, set it to your preferred temperature.
Heat Pump Maintenance
