If you must come face to face with an emergency furnace repair this winter, you will know the peace of mind that Marsh Heating & Air Conditioning’s 24-hour, radio-dispatched service team will be at your front door in no time. And once we arrive, you will be accorded our special “NATE touch”.
NATE stands for a distinction in the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) industry known as North American Technician Excellence. Technicians who are NATE-certified have demonstrated their expertise with HVAC systems by passing rigorous, specialized tests that other contractors working in the industry have not.
After 37 years in the business, we here at Marsh Heating & Air Conditioning know that fast service is one thing; homeowners in the Twin Cities also want expert service. The “NATE touch” means that technicians who have received NATE certification render better and more efficient service, fewer callbacks and, ultimately, greater customer satisfaction.
In fact, in a customer satisfaction survey, NATE’s non-profit certification organization reports that 84 percent of customers would select the same contractor if he or she were NATE-certified. And 68 percent of customers reported being extremely satisfied with their NATE-certified technician; only 44 percent reported feeling the same way about a non-NATE-certified technician.
Clearly, NATE technicians understand heating and cooling systems inside and out, and their rigorous testing is designed to verify their knowledge and skills. NATE recommends that applicants acquire some formal training provided by their employer, a technical school or other educational institution. It further recommends that candidates show work experience with equipment in their specialty, including:
- One year of experience for installation technician tests
- Two years of experience for service technician tests
- Five years of experience for senior level technician
NATE techs are, quite simply, the best in the business. This is why many of Marsh’s techs have received NATE certification, and they are serving as mentors to others on our staff who are pursuing it.
HVAC repairs are inherently worrisome. So if you have to make a repair call this winter, do so with the confidence that Marsh’s“NATE touch” means that your repairs will be done quickly, correctly and expertly — the first time.
Our goal is to help educate our customers about energy and home comfort issues (specific to HVAC systems). For more information about NATE certification and other HVAC topics, download our free Home Comfort Resource guide.
